Humpday Inspiration: Walker Webcast

So, I’m from Minneapolis. You may be able to tell by the way I wear that “Minneapolis” shirt that I wear sometimes and speak ad nauseum on what an amazing place it is. And that I proposed “Minneapolis Monday” on the blog… Anyway, back in Minneapolis, there’s a little gallery called the Walker Art Center. “The Walker Art Center, a catalyst for the creative expression of artists and the active engagement of audiences, examines the questions that shape and inspire us as individuals, cultures, and communities.” Good stuff.
They host all sorts of lectures, artist dialogues, curator talks, movie showings, dance performances, music serenadings, etcetera, and for the last few years have been video documenting all of them. They then put them on the Walker Channel online, which you can watch for free. Some of my favorite talks are by Kara Walker, Daniel Eatock, Kiki Smith, Chip Kidd, and Matthew Barney. Rirkrit Tiravanija and Bruce Sterling’s dialogue is pretty interesting, too. Go check it out.

VRy interesting to read it
