Micah Lidberg
I was honored to share a wall-space with Micah during the 2006 MCAD Merits Award show. He was only a junior then, but as every piece of his went up, I knew that this dude was going to be amazing. Micah’s hand-painted typography, compulsive linework and stunning color palettes were in a less refined state at that time, and to see how far he’s come in sheer volume of work as well as quality is really impressive.
From his site:
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1985 and have had the pleasure of living in midwest America for most of my life. I have also lived in other great locations such as Alabama, New Jersey, and Brighton, England. I am currently back in the midwest, living in the great city of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and majored in illustration. I also, attended the University of Brighton, England for illustration as well. I have a sincere love for practical design, bizarre phenomenon, the wonders of nature, and travel.
I work with a variety of media, often combining digital aspects in the process. I adore pattern, color, and the notion that image-making is one of many straight forward and native modes of communication. My work aims to please the palettes of the curious and hopeful!
