And although its hard to pay attention to anything other than the game, I’m always surprised and intrigued by what marketing tactics sports seasons bring out.
For instance, one bar had these pretty awesome non-traditional coasters out promoting the MLB Network. Each coaster had cut away placements for your fingers, so when you hold it, you’re actually correctly holding a cutter pitch, or a slider pitch, or more. Everyone was trying them out, and seeing how each pitch differed from the last.
It was definitely an interesting idea, and very appropriate for passing some down time during commercial breaks.
