As our design department will attest, I take great enjoyment in filleting and grilling sacred cow. If you want to set me off on a tirade, just mention the latest self-indulgent John Maeda video or e-mail me a link to a bit of overly-obvious all-too-easy Cory Arcangel tech hackery. Of course, my targets will never know the [...]

Two French Rock Gods, Gaspard and Xavier, also known as Justice, released their live CD & DVD combo, A Cross The Universe, this week. The CD consists of thunderous crowd screaming renditions of tracks from their 2nd album Cross. However, the DVD is really the most interesting part. On their 3-week tour of the US of A, Justice brought along two directors to film every single moment of the band, and that’s exactly what they did. The film is a montage of all sorts of unexpected things that happened along the tour, with a little bit of live rocking mixed in between, but really not a lot. Here’s a little list of moments you’ll witness in the film: drinking, fighting, groupies, shooting guns (and several interesting arguments for the right to bear arms), religous iconography, roid ragers moshing, insane American fans, bleeding, strobes (the film will definitely cause epileptic seizures), sex, Sam Elliott as the Justice bus driver, and like I said, some rocking.
PG-Rated teaser after the jump, if you want the real NSFW trailer you’ll have to find it on YouTube yourself (It’s the fifth one down).

Really, though, the amount of Mid-Century Modern architecture there is incredible. I was able to sneak into the Parker Palm Springs (recently designed by Jonathan [...]

While in Seattle on shoot last week we decided to go check out the Experience Music Project. To my surprise the Hatch Show Print created by the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Service was there on exhibit. For those of you who are unfamiliar the Hatch Show Print was established in the late 1800′s in Nashville and is one [...]
