This afternoon we wrapped the last day of shooting portraits in Downtown Crossing. The event was a huge success. We photographed roughly 700 people. It’s wonderful to look through the photos and just see how many unique people live, work, and play in the neighborhood. It really makes you appreciate the uniqueness of being human. Not to be too cheesy, but everyone honestly is really beautiful in their own way. Check out some photos of the event and a few of the hundreds of great portraits after the jump.

Converse commissioned Pharrell, Santogold, and Julian Casablancas to produce a track, “My Drive Thru,” to celebrate their 100th Anniversary. What makes this track so good is the fact that it doesn’t sound like a song made specifically for a shoe brand. It doesn’t say anything about the iconic chucks, even though it would have been too easy to drop the brand name in the lyrics here and there. Converse made a smart move and just let the artists do their thing, and showed their support. Check out the awesome video made by Psyop.
Check out an interview with Pharrell about Converse after the jump.
