Passion and dedication. The two words that best decribe last night at 160′s holiday party talent show. I feel fortunate just to have witnessed it firsthand.
Emcee Cory McCall. Dick Clark can suck it.

Steve Penning is Poetry personified.

Little known fact, Jim Walls was a back up singer/guitar player for Blues Traveler before becoming Executive Creative Director. Kelly Dorsey blew our minds with her harmonica solo.

Lindsay Hendler should’ve won the McDonald’s contest in 1988. If only her parents didn’t keep her down.

The ladies of operations – Ziggy and the Falcon couldn’t make it, but we still got a damn good show. Isn’t that right CVA?!?!

Adam Garcia. All jokes and kidding aside, was amazing!

In my wildest dreams I could not have imagined the end of the show where all acts performed at once.

I’m pretty sure most designers/writers hate creating brand guidelines. We love creating identities and figuring out the structure in which they work, making them flexible and multi-faceted, all of that is fun. It’s when you need to explain how it works to the outsider, who may not even be a designer, how you envision the identity working years down the road, after you’re long gone. You have to imagine every horrible potential way that someone could misuse your design, which can be very depressing. Nonetheless, some sort of guideline has to be made. I think a lot of people have different theories on how loose or strict, formalized or interpretive, brand guidelines should be. I thought this post could be a good place for us to share successful guidelines we admire. Check them out after the jump.
