In November 2021, logistics giant DP World announced a new title sponsor of golf’s European Tour for the 2022 season and beyond. The DP World Tour Championship is the Tour’s season finale and competitive climax. And for DP World, it is the biggest event on the calendar.
DP World came to 160over90 to amplify their new global partnership with first-class fan experiences at the DP World Tour Championship. We were ready to take a big swing.
Across four tournament days, 160over90 delivered a top-notch hospitality program for 260 people each day in the DP World chalet. Hospitality guests were gifted premium DP World Tour branded merchandise and offered an exclusive opportunity to follow the leading groups inside the ropes.
160over90 also developed a golfing challenge on the first tee of the Fire Course that spectators participated in.
Following DP World’s recent brand relaunch in October 2021, 160over90 activated a 360-degree PR and communications plan, leveraging players and activations to enhance DP World’s title partnership of the event and highlight the new brand identity to a global audience.
72 holes later and the score card was turned in. The Championship was an ace – for the players, DP World and, most importantly, the fans. Ahead of their first year as title partner of the Tour, DP World had made their mark on the season finale in spectacular fashion, and sports fans around the world had taken notice.
