Marriott Hotels needed fresh entertainment content. TED hosted 3,600+ events per year. We saw an iconic match—a guest experience that could spark imaginations without leaving your cozy slippers or robe.
Marriott has 7,300 properties worldwide. Wouldn’t you know it, TED Fellows like traveling as much as speaking. We started with content, then moved to events.
There are a lot of TED Talks, so we curated that content and delivered it directly to Marriott Guests. That means we reimagined clips that just existed into a Marriott-specific tour into the curious, creative, and inspiring; guided by TED Fellows like artist Candy Chang, author Elizabeth Gilbert, and more.
Now, we’re in year three. Our featured content evolved into a live series you’ll only find at Marriott. The TED Fellow Salons. And while our series is going places, mostly international destinations, the new TED Masterclass program is available via Marriott Bonvoy because ideas worth sharing often travel.
Marriott Guests responded. The content series led to three partnership renewals and 12 Salons that drew audiences from around the world to hotel destinations.
